Children's Mural for Windham Hospital
This 4ft x 11ft acrylic on canvas mural is based on a local scene in Willimantic, CT where the bullfrog is the town mascot.
The mural was commissioned for the children's area of the hospital's Emergency Department.
Stairwell to Health Door Mural
Windham Hospital commissioned a mural on the door leading to their "Stairwell to Health" - a campaign to encourage staff to use the stairs.
Resurrection
Mosaic
This mosaic was pieced
together mainly from leftover floor and wall tiles
donated by parishioners of St. Philips Church in Ashford. For the
skin, face and hair, I used tiny bits of Italian ceramic
tile. The mosaic is 4 ft. wide x 6 ft. high.
Madonna and Child Mural
When a window in the parish office at St. Philips
Church was walled in during renovations, I painted this
mural to take its place.
The Madonna and child are in
Vietnamese costume since the pastor was Vietnamese. The window is 5 ft. high x 3 ft.
wide.
Ballet Studio Windows Mural
A mural was commissioned by Arts in
Motion of Willimantic, CT for a ballet
studio that had no windows.
Two painted windows each 7ft. x 7ft. helped give
the room a feeling of space and air.
Poppies Painting for
Library
The Willington, CT Public Library, through the generosity of a local benefactor,
commissioned this acrylic on canvas painting of poppies for their reception area.
Coral Reef Painting for
Library
The same library also commissioned this painting for their children's area. The scene is based on the fish and sea life found in Bermuda's coral reef.
Art for a Nursing
Center
Mansfield Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center in Mansfield, CT ordered 8 framed pieces to
enhance the common areas of their nursing home. Four are
shown in one of the dining
areas.
